Emblem3 consists of Drew Chadwick, Wesley Stromberg and Keaton Stromberg, and they hail from Huntington Beach in California. They auditioned for the second season of ‘The X Factor’ in San Francisco with an original song titled “Sunset Boulevard”, which certainly knocked everyone’s socks off and started the whole comparison between 1D and Emblem3.

His father is a musician from Liverpool who was a guitarist and singer and bandmember of the band Max Merrit and the Meteors. Steve moved to London when he was 18.
In his early years in London, he formed the band Endever and was supported by the all-star band The Dolphins.The Dolphins . He later worked with Robin Lumley (Brand X) on projects at Alley Cat studios/Reading and with Robbie Burns in Auckland, who plays on the original version of “Working for the USA”. Steve also did projects with Barriemore Barlow and Rolf Harris at Doghouse studios/Shiplake/UK . He recorded his album “Live for the Moment” (later re released in with bonus tracks under “Songs from the last Century”) with Phil Rudd (AC/DC) in Phil’s studio in Tauronga/New Zealand (tracking Phil Rudd, produced by Nigel Stone, Steve Cooke & Maurice Cook).
In 2003 Steve’s song “Live for the Moment” was featured on the NZ Hitdisc, which was presented to all the radio stations in the country and achieved national airplay on National Radio, More FM and other stations and stadium airplay during Rugby and Cricket games internationally. “Live for the Moment” also broke a Radio airplay record in Germany.
He also played principal characters in professional theater musicals, such as Broadway’s “Hair” (US cast-European tour), “Godspell,” and a rendition of The Who’s “Tommy” at the Apollo Theatre in Oxford Musical Pics. He later worked with Simon Townshend on a Rolf Harris project produced by Martin Rushent.
Steve Cooke has co-written an album with guitarist Monte Pittman (The Mercury Feather project)Demo songs. The first single “Bad Girl” just got released for Madonna’s Superbowl performance and already had airplay in Los Angeles.
Steve Cooke’s single “Working for the USA” won best song in Americana at the Hollywood Music and Media awards in LA.
Steve Cooke performed for Prince Charles, William and Harry in 2002 at the Beauford Polo club/UK for the Charkravarty cup, Press, Royal command performance .
He collaborates with many session players like Steve Postell, Monte Pittman (Madonna/Adam Lambert) , Ric Fierabracci, Jeff Kollman, Shane Galaas (The B’z), Steve Ferrone (Tom Petty), Tommy Joe Raftliff (Adam Lambert). Steve Cooke performs regularly in Los Angeles and is expanding to Europe again.
Steve recorded a new studio album at Paramount recording studios in Hollywood California and mixed at the House of Blues studios/CA. For this album “Radio” (produced by 2x Grammy award winner Bob Cutarella ), Steve is backed by an all star band including Monte Pittman on guitar), Phil X on lead Marcus Brown on bass & keys, Steve Sidelnyk, and Niki Haris on backing vocals. This album later got bundled with Adam Lamberts album by the label and was released as “The Paramount Sessions” in late 2011. “Paramount Sessions” achieved album of the month in Germany with Antenne 1 and gained airplay all over Germany in early 2012. Steve Cooke’s style can be described as a marriage of Blues, Hard rock, Americana and Acoustic music, topped with heavy choruses, lots of light and shade and dynamic singing.
Cooke’s vocal influences are most commonly cited among late-sixties and early-seventies rock/blues singers. His guitar antics and stage persona are commonly traced to 60′s and 70′s Rock era. He also plays a 12 string guitar and has invented a new tuning. Strongest guitar influences are Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Peter Townsend.
